Little Frog King
Based on a photo I took at the water-table at Painters Greenhouse. The frog (hand-embroidered) and the rock (pieced and embroidered) were real (though the rock was about as big as my fist, and the frog about the size of a thumbnail). The other elements are wetland plants (applique) with a few imaginary algae (needle-felting) thrown in. About 28″ x 28″; completed 2018; commissioned by Dana Owen, one of Painter’s owners.
