Acoustic Journey

Based on the cover of a recording by the same name, this memorial quilt was commissioned in memory of musician Al Petteway by his wife and musical partner Amy White. It incorporates many images of significance to them …. gardens, trilliums, bears, fairy, moon and stars, etc. It also incorporates many of Al’s ‘aloha’ shirts, as keyboard keys on the front, and in the ‘ocean waves’ pattern on the reverse. Shirt pockets were used on the reverse to hold mementos and other objects. I’m super pleased that this quilt won Second Place in its category at the 2025 Asheville Quilt Show, and, more significantly, the Award of Merit by National Association of Certified Quilt Judges (NACQJ) Completed February 2025. 53″ x 53″.
